  Don't fall for anything else: buy latex. This is a superb shop where we bought a great quality mattress. No, the shop isn't fancy, but their prices are excellent. Skip the corporate America mattresses and come here. See reviews on Yelp for more info.

  We really enjoyed our experience with Boulder Comforts / Foam Source. We have made several purchases from them and would definitely recommend them and go back the next time we're in the market for anything foam-related. Our first purchase was a queen-sized natural latex matress. The staff member we talked with (Matt) was super helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us understand their very straight-forward prices and options, including the differences between different types of foam firmness. We were able to get a good feel for relative mattress firmness vs. softness right in the showroom so that we felt confident making a custom order from various layers of foam (did we want medium with soft on top? firm with medium on top?), and Matt assured us that if we changed our minds it would be easy and free to swap out the different foam layers. It really took the pressure off and was a nice change from our previous latex mattress-buying experience 7 years ago in California, where once you took the mattress home, it was a done deal. (That other foam mattress is still going strong, btw - we just got a second bed so we needed a second mattress). Our Boulder Comforts mattress was delivered very shortly after we placed the order (I think it was only a week or two!) and they threw in free local delivery to our home, even walking it up the steep driveway. We are very happy with it and haven't had to make any adjustments to the foam layers. We understand there's a stellar warranty on it too. For our second purchase, we got a 100% custom foam cushion headboard made for our queen bed. We were able to specify the size and thickness of the foam and select from dozens of colors of microsuede fabric for the cover. They even let us take the fabric sample book home so that we could see the colors in the context and lighting of our guest room. We were initially a little worried that the fabric cover might look amateurish since it was something they hadn't made before, but we were pleasantly surprised that the sewing was very professional, from the squared corners to the zipper to the fabric ties we asked them to put at the corners for attachment to the bedframe. The price and wait time from order to delivery were extremely reasonable for custom. Our third purchase was a "foam bag," similar to a beanbag chair only with scrap foam inside. Again we chose a custom cover fabric from dozens of samples and were very pleased with the professional sewing job on the cover as well as the inner lining that contains the foam. We were also pleased with the communication from Boulder Comforts about the expected delivery date. The foam bag was initialy more firm than we were anticipating, so that you more sat on top of it rather than sank into it, but we were able to unzip the cover and unzip a portion of the inner bag and just remove foam until we were happy with it. If we order another bag, we'll likely ask them to understuff it since the process of removing foam scraps from the bag is a bit messy.

  We just wanted to thank you for the great service, and to extol the virtues of your long-lasting mattresses. We bought our original latex mattress at the Foam Source back in 1991--18 years ago. We chose a firm mattress, which was just perfect for my husband and me back then, and we've enjoyed many restful nights on that bed over the years. More recently, however, we had come to the conclusion that we needed a softer sleeping situation--numerous sports injuries and just general aging (of us, not the mattress!) have caused us to sleep less comfortably. On visiting your store last month searching for an upgrade, we were amazed to learn that we could keep using the latex core from our old mattress (which is as good as new inside the cover) and simply add a new 2" soft latex topper. We took your advice and also splurged on a beautiful new cover that accommodates the extra height. Now, it looks like we have a brand new 8" mattress, for much, much less. And, we did the environmental thing and kept our still-good mattress out of the landfill. Most importantly, we are sleeping very comfortably now--the extra 2" soft topper cushions us in luxury. Ahhh!
