  I used to love Neptune back in the dark ages when Gary Neptune owned but when it changed hands it went down hill and I stopped going in. At one point I had heard that it went under and closed. I don't live in Boulder so I find out about Boulder stuff months or years after it's already happened. When I find out that Neptune was still open I had to go see for myself. I needed a new winter day pack and found myself in a heavenly mountaineering store. This place is awesome, a little expensive but you get what you pay for and I payed for an awesome Ortovox pack. Thanks Neptune.

  Great high end camping, climbing and general outdoor clothing. They really amazed me this Christmas with s free children's climbing wall with Santa at the top handing out real gifts from the store. My son got a $10 light. My son was very happy.

  I have shopped here for years and now Neptune Mountaineering has been completely re-done with a huge selection of climbing gear. My rule has always been "if you cant find it anywhere else, Neptunes has it" - if you're looking to drop hundreds of dollars on skiing and mountaineering boots no one pays more attention to detail to make sure your inner boots are molded to your feet just right.
